Kate Mahood is an alternative country/folk musician based on the Capricorn Coast, Central Queensland. Blending folk stylings and story telling, Kate’s strengths are evident in her
unique vocals and beautifully crafted melodies. With meaningful and sometimes haunting lyrics she portrays an honesty and vulnerability in her songs that resonate deeply with her listeners.
After many years of writing songs behind closed doors, Kate graduated from the 2017 CMAA Academy of Country Music in Tamworth with new determination and passion to pursue her
music career. Since then she has performed at numerous events around the Capricorn Coast including Tropical Bloom Festival, The Woodford Festival of Small Halls and The
Yeppoon Village Festival where she was winner of the 2017 annual ‘Beaches Got Talent’ competition. Kate is currently working on her debut E.P.
